About Me

Anjua and Pure Mvmnt Team

Anjua and the Pure Mvmnt team.

I've been teaching women to reconnect with their bodies since 2006, when I first certified as a pole and sensual movement instructor. After a few years away raising my boys, I came back to it teaching small groups of women out of my basement studio, then built that into Pure Mvmnt, training a small team of teachers of my own. Separately, I'm also a certified iPEC coach, that's where most of my life-coaching tools come from.

I'm Afro-Latina, born and raised in New York City, the daughter of a Nuyorican mother and a Black American father. I grew up thin in a family of shapely women, which gave me body dysmorphia before I even had a word for it. It took years of actual movement, not therapy, not intellectualizing it, before I felt like I had "enough" body. That's a big part of why I teach the way I do now: the body has to be the one to work it out, not the mind.

What I Actually Do

I teach sensual movement: slow, unhurried, built from years of dance and body work, not choreography to master. I run retreats, teach classes, and coach women one-on-one. None of it is about becoming a better version of yourself. It's about noticing what's already there once you stop performing.

I also host a podcast and keep a blog, both called The Electric Feminine, and write a newsletter called The Whole Woman.

Right Now

Your Erotic Yes Retreat in Puerto Rico is the biggest thing on my calendar, next one's January 2027. I also teach Rhythm and Flow, a low-impact, high-intensity movement class, locally in Ohio.

1:1 coaching and a monthly membership are both being rebuilt right now, new structure, new pricing, worth doing right instead of rushed. They'll be back this fall. Get on the newsletter if you want to hear when they open.

Who This Is For

Women who've already done the work of figuring themselves out intellectually and are ready to actually feel it in their bodies. Not broken, not behind, just done analyzing and ready to move.

If that's you, I'd love to have you in a room.
